Specialized Summer Accessories for 2018

Check out the next installment of our Spring Highlights, continuing with bike shoes and seat packs.

PUMP UP YOUR KICKS

We’ve heard your requests for some downhill ready shoes and we’re way stoked to have the new Specialized 2FO Cliplites.

Not a heavy, clunky street shoe, but a stiff, lightweight XC/Downhill mashup. Available in both men’s and women’s, and also in a flat sole option.

For those of us looking to turn up the performance on singletrack or gravel rides, check out the Specialized Expert XC MTB Shoe. With high caliber quality and looks, it’s an ideal upgrade shoe. Just 80g shy of the S-Works shoe, which is one of the lightest MTB shoes in existence. Ian picked up a pair this spring and won’t shut up about them.

Who doesn’t want mint shoes? The Specialized Motodiva Womens MTB Shoe is a high value performance choice. Features a slick BOA closure and a stiff, but grippy Slip Not sole. This is a go-to shoe for the various riding conditions here in CAMBA land.

SEATPACK FOR SUCCESS

I love functional, clever, and elegant bike accessories that enhance the quality of your ride while keeping it simple. A waterproof seatpack is a good example. If you’ve ever had a nice multi-tool get rusty in your seatpack, you’ll know why this is so handy. With just a few key pieces, you can have a fully functional repair set up under your butt!

Here’s my example of what I rode with during the Hungry Bear last weekend.

Spare tube for my 29” tire

-The new and amazing Wolftooth Masterlink Pliers. They can remove a quick link, remove or tighten valve cores, be used as a tire lever, tighten valve stem lock nuts, and also store two quick links. Turns out, they won’t fold and put away your laundry, however.

Serfas superhighlyfunctional 17 Function Multi Tool takes care of whatever else is left to do to your bike. Chainbreaker, CO2 inflator, spoke wrench, and all of the other essential bike tools you’ll need.

20 Gram CO2 Cartridge, great volume for a standard 29” mountain bike tire.

All of that fits comfortably inside the Serfas Monsoon Seatpack, safe and dry. The Monsoon quickly clips on and off your bike via the slick buckle mounting design, rolls closed, and has a reflective loop for you to clip on a tail light. Simple and functional.
