It’s a beautiful winter wonderland here in the Northwoods!. One of my favorite events of the season is quickly approaching. The North End Classic Ski Race is Sunday, February 8th, in Cable, Wisconsin. Skiers can choose between 12.5 K and 25 K, and there’s even fun for the little ones with the Cookie Classic Kids race. Snow and trail conditions are exceptional!

The North End Ski Club is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization that continues to make such a significant contribution to our community. Not only do they maintain the ski and snowshoe trails, but they also maintain a charming and cozy trailhead cabin.

I encourage everyone to come out, show their support, and participate in the North End Classic Ski race. Not only will you get the opportunity to ski beautiful trails with fellow silent sports and winter enthusiasts, but you will be helping to preserve this small-town race that many volunteers work so hard to offer.

After the event, the fun continues as skiers, club members, and volunteers gather at the River’s Eatery to celebrate our wonderful local ski community.
Hope to see you there!
