Hey – eMTB fans and just plain fans of mountain biking. I just recently spent two days, about 6 hours of riding trail, on an amazing new bike; The 2025 Pivot Shuttle SL, a high-performance e-mountain bike designed for versatility and agility, featuring a lightweight carbon frame, Fazua Ride 60nm/ 450W peak battery power motor, and advanced Fox suspension system, 150/135 travel.
I’m pretty new to the eMTB world, an average to kinda good mountain bike rider with tons of experience on many different mountain bikes. My first impressions of this new e-bike (world), this bike is so FUN – I loved this bike!
First of all, as far as e-mountain bikes go, this thing is pretty darn normal looking. Pivot does a very nice job with the overall frame design and details.
Secondly, this particular bike was VERY well kitted, mechanical Shimano XTR, Fox suspension and dropper, carbon Reynolds wheelset. All worked flawlessly together. I didn’t weight it, but my guess 37-38 lbs (with pedals), not bad at all.
Overall, this is a super cool/great e-mountain bike, let’s just call it a mountain bike with a little boost, pedal assist or just more added FUN. I loved riding it on level 1-2 up Wisen Up, then switch it off and rip the downs (like Charlie Girl and Stormoen) at Mt. Telemark Village. And man, it was very capable on the downs! Even with the assist on 1-2 and ripping old school Ojibwe I was still working hard in places, constantly working the bike over/thru the roots, rocks, tight turns…….. the only difference (really) it was coming at me at a faster pace and I just covering ground faster.
Again, this is just a FUN, great bike! Stop in the shop for a look, demo or rental. You will be glad you did.
