2024 Hungry Bear – A Photo Recap!

What a fabulous day it was for the Hungry Bear 100! Mother Nature did not disappoint, as over 800 riders took on the challenge to ride the Hungry Bear 100, the Snacking Bear 60 and Climbing Cub. All routes gave riders a taste of Northern Wisconsin gravel riding and the great people and communities that make up our Northwoods.

“As I rode along the course, two feelings were present with me every mile, and they will forever stay with me: gratitude and joy. Gratitude for the sunshine, blue skies, forests, lakes, rivers, and exceptional gravel roads. I am grateful for how this event brought together cyclists, their friends and families, sponsors, local businesses, and amazing volunteers- who collectively demonstrated what community is all about.” — Linda Shydlowski

Local Faces…

For many, it’s not just about race day. Race day is the final destination, but the journey leading up to the event is just as gratifying. From training and group pre-rides, many enjoyed spring riding, the camaraderie of being with other cyclists and dear friends, and the joy of exploring gravel roads and taking in the beauty of the Northwoods.

The Best Volunteers!

We at the Hungry Bear 100 and the cyclists who participated extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers who selflessly dedicated their time, energy, and effort to be part of our race. Their support, passion, and commitment to making a great event and a positive impact on their community are truly inspiring. We hope to find ways to show our appreciation and thank them for their valuable contribution throughout the year.

This event is a wonderful opportunity for local businesses to thrive and for us to give back to the community.
